A total of 25 children competed in two age categories, with organizers highlighting the importance of passing on cultural heritage to the youngest generations.
The 2nd Children's Ring Race was held in Barban on Sunday, August 16, 2026, bringing together 25 of the youngest competitors divided into two age categories. The event was organized by the Ring Race Society with the aim of preserving and passing on tradition to new generations.
In the category up to 9 years old, first place went to Ani Uravić, second to Julia Osip, and third to Nija Šverko. In the older category, from 9 to 14 years old, Leo Bužleta took the win, Nina Baćac secured second place, and Matija Vitulić came in third.
The organizers emphasize that the Children's Ring Race is not just a sporting competition but an opportunity for children to learn about tradition, foster a sense of community, and become its future guardians. The Ring Race Society extended congratulations to all participants for their courage and sportsmanship.
