Tragedy in Pešćenica: Young Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, at approximately 7:20 PM, a serious traffic accident occurred in the settlement of Pešćenica, part of the Lekenik municipality, claiming the life of a 24-year-old motorcyclist. According to the Sisak-Moslavina Police Department, the primary cause was excessive speed.

Loss of Control in a Curve

According to official data, the young man was riding a motorcycle with Zagreb license plates. As he was exiting a curve, his speed was not appropriate for the road conditions, leading to a loss of control over the vehicle. The motorcycle then veered off the road and fell into a nearby drainage canal, subsequently hitting the concrete part of a driveway. The injuries sustained were fatal for the 24-year-old, who died at the scene of the accident.

Body Transported to Hospital

Following the on-site investigation, the deceased's body was transported to the Sisak General Hospital, where an autopsy will determine all details related to his death. The entire case will be reported to the Sisak County State Attorney's Office, as confirmed by the police.
