Biograd na Moru has gained a significant tourism asset. Following an extensive €18 million renovation, the Family Hotel Adria opened its doors to its first guests in July 2026. This four-star hotel, fully dedicated to families with children, is one of the largest hotel capacities on this part of the Croatian coast.
Located in the heart of northern Dalmatia, the hotel features 209 rooms and as many as 800 beds, making it stand out in the central Adriatic's offerings with its capacity and family vacation concept. Its opening not only significantly increases Biograd's accommodation capacity but also expands the region's offerings in the organized family and all-inclusive vacation segment.
The market embraced the new hotel concept faster than anticipated. In the first thirty days of operation, the hotel's accommodation capacity was nearly fully booked, and guest data indicates strong demand from Central European countries as well as domestic visitors.
Roberta Rudan Buršić, a representative of the Rudan Hotels & Camps group, told Financije.hr: "Occupancy in the first week of operation exceeded our expectations. The hotel is almost full, with the largest number of guests currently coming from Austria and Slovenia. We were particularly pleased by the exceptionally high share of domestic guests, who have been among our most represented markets since the opening. A significant share also comes from Germany, showing that the new concept has been recognized in our traditionally important markets, as well as in Croatia."
The hotel renovation included the modernization of accommodation units, common areas, restaurants, and supporting infrastructure, with special emphasis on developing new facilities for children and parents. The property includes an indoor playroom for children, with additional amenities for younger guests provided by the Kids Club and Mini Club.
For families, a special off-road track has been prepared for driving in a natural setting, along with organized daytime and evening animation and sports activities tailored to different age groups. While children are entertained in organized activities, parents can enjoy outdoor and indoor pools, a wellness area, sports courts, and relaxation spaces.
"We are especially delighted that families have responded positively to the amenities we developed precisely according to their needs," added Rudan Buršić.
