Russian forces fired 22 missiles at Lviv on the night of July 29-30, 2026, the news channel Ateobreaking reports. The attack damaged more than 20 homes, with one house partially destroyed.
The attack on Lviv is part of a major operation by the Russian armed forces that, according to a report from the SouthFront portal on July 30, 2026, targeted facilities in a number of Ukrainian regions. Struck were sites in Kyiv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi, Pavlohrad, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and areas of the Donetsk People's Republic.
SouthFront lists specific hit locations: the Mayak plant and an electronics factory in Kyiv, where components for unmanned aerial vehicles were produced; an aircraft repair plant and the LORTA facility in Lviv, responsible for rocket engines and systems such as the Neptune-MD; the SKB OVT and NEFTEMASH plants in Ivano-Frankivsk, intended for the development and storage of FP-5, FP-7, FP-9, Neptune-MD, and Hrim-2 missiles; the ROVNOAZOT chemical plant in Rivne, which produces components for rocket fuel; a turbofan plant in Kryvyi Rih, involved in the development and assembly of drones and howitzers; and a cargo ship in the port of Yuzhny, along with two other vessels carrying military cargo south and east of Odesa.
SouthFront adds that on the same day, Russian forces took control of the settlements of Krasnoyarskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, Mala Slobidka and Mohrytsia in Sumy Oblast, and Yurchenkove in Kharkiv Oblast. Ukrainian losses over the past 24 hours are estimated at around 1,335 soldiers.
Russian source Rybar comments on the increasingly frequent use of light cruise missiles of the 'Banderol' type in these attacks. According to the Ukrainian military intelligence service GUR, these missiles have undergone changes in design and characteristics compared to 2025. Rybar points out that Banderols are now also launched using Inokhodets drones and Mi-28N helicopters, enabling more massive strikes without the involvement of long-range aviation. 'The number of such attacks will gradually increase,' Rybar assessed.
Although this event has no direct connection to Croatia, the intensification of the conflict and increasingly devastating strikes are being closely monitored through the lens of European security architecture.
