Split-born singer Severina released her second song from her new musical trilogy, titled "Call Me (Anxious)", today, August 6, 2026. Alongside the track, she dropped a music video directed by Petar Pašić, and what particularly caught everyone's attention was her completely new look.
In the video, Severina appeared with noticeably shorter hair, opting for the trendy lob, short for long bob. This modern take on the classic haircut sees the hair fall just past the chin, and in her case, it seems subtle layers were added to frame her face and boost volume. The singer wore her hair perfectly blow-dried with a side part.
Although she has experimented with various hairstyles and hair colors over the years, her signature look for a long time was long, curly hair. Now, she's joined the trend that has been embraced by numerous global stars in recent seasons, including Margot Robbie, Eva Longoria, Kate Hudson, Demi Moore, and Penélope Cruz. The new hairstyle is the work of hairstylist Martin Posavec, and while it hasn't been confirmed whether it's a permanent change or a wig, the style fits seamlessly into her overall aesthetic.
To let the hair shine, makeup artist Simona Antonović kept things understated with softly defined eyes and a nude lip. Stylist Katija Šimundić handled the wardrobe, bare shoulders and exposed collarbones further accentuated the softness and sensuality of the new cut, while the shoulder-grazing strands put the hairstyle front and center.
The new song is part of Severina's musical trilogy, which she announced earlier. The first in the series was "It's Not My Fault (Numb)", and the third and final track, "Play Me 'Give Birth to Sons' (Perfect)", will be performed live at the Pula Arena on August 15, 2026. Within just a few hours of its release, "Call Me (Anxious)" has already garnered a slew of positive comments.
