Consumers in Privlaka, specifically on Marko Polo Street, have received a warning from the Zadar Waterworks that the water from the supply system is currently not safe for consumption. This is due to saltwater intrusion from private wells into the water supply system, the utility company announced.
Technical services have already been dispatched to the site and are conducting necessary inspections and measures to resolve the issue as soon as possible and ensure safe drinking water. The utility company has announced that the public will be regularly informed of any new findings and outcomes of the activities, while expressing gratitude for patience and understanding.
To provide an alternative supply of drinking water, a water tanker will be placed on Marko Polo Street. This will ensure residents of that part of Privlaka have access to safe drinking water until the issue in the system is resolved.
