On Friday, August 8, 2026, the Zagreb police received two reports of thefts in the city center. In the first case, an unknown perpetrator broke into the rooms of foreign tourists and stole loot worth tens of thousands of euros, while in the second, a woman was left without money in the premises of a state administration body on Šenoina Street.
According to information from the Zagreb Police Department, the break-in at the accommodation facility occurred between 5:30 PM and 11:45 PM. The burglar targeted two rooms used by a 54-year-old Singaporean citizen and a 57-year-old Egyptian citizen. Money and other items were stolen from the rooms, with the total material damage estimated at tens of thousands of euros. Details about the method of the break-in and the exact list of stolen items have not yet been released.
On the same day, between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM, another theft occurred, this time in the premises of a state administration body on Šenoina Street. An unknown perpetrator stole money from the wallet of a 64-year-old woman. The material damage in this case amounts to several hundred euros, and the police have classified the act as a bold theft.
The Zagreb Police Department is conducting criminal investigations to determine all the circumstances of both incidents and to find the perpetrators. So far, there is no information about suspects.
