Police officers from the Zadar Traffic Police Station, during routine checks, discovered two drivers operating vehicles without a valid driver's license. Both cases resulted in hefty fines and driving bans.
The first offense was recorded on Tuesday, August 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM. On state road DC-502 in the town of Pridraga, a police patrol stopped a car with Zadar license plates. Behind the wheel was a 77-year-old man, who, upon inspection, was found to have no right to drive.
According to information from the Zadar Police Department, as reported by Antena Zadar, the man was immediately removed from traffic. He was issued a misdemeanor citation with a fine of €1,320.00, and a protective measure of a driving ban for motor vehicles for a period of three months.
Just a few hours later, on Wednesday, August 6, 2026, shortly after midnight, police officers stopped a car with Našice license plates on Zagrebačka Street in Zadar. The vehicle was driven by a 27-year-old woman, and checks confirmed that she too had gotten behind the wheel before passing her driving test.
As reported by Zadarski list, the female driver was also removed from traffic and issued an identical misdemeanor citation. The fine was also €1,320.00, along with a protective measure of a driving ban for motor vehicles for a period of three months.
Both offenses were processed under the Road Traffic Safety Act, and the police continue with intensified traffic surveillance in the Zadar County area.
