The Šibenik-Knin Police Department has issued comprehensive traffic and safety instructions for the Marko Perković Thompson concert at Šubićevac Stadium on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Due to the expected large number of visitors at the Marko Perković Thompson concert, which begins on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 9 PM at Šibenik's Šubićevac Stadium, the Šibenik-Knin Police Department has released a detailed traffic regulation plan and safety measures. Significantly increased traffic is expected throughout the day across the entire Šibenik area and all approach roads, so police are urging drivers to leave earlier and prepare for potential congestion and delays.
Temporary traffic regulations will be implemented depending on the security assessment and the intensity of visitor arrivals and departures. Starting Monday, August 3, 2026, Đure Đakovića Street will be closed to all traffic, and the closure will continue throughout Tuesday. Traffic on this street will only be restored after the concert ends and the audience has fully dispersed.
From August 4 to 5, 2026, if necessary, traffic will be suspended for all vehicles except emergency services on Bana Josipa Jelačića Street, 113. šibenske brigade HV-a Street, Put Gimnazije, Jerka Machieda Street, and part of the D8 state road from Njivice to Ražine. During the night, closures are planned for some roads through Dubrava, which will be used by buses transporting visitors.
Police recommend that drivers passing through the Šibenik area on August 4 and 5 use alternative routes, especially the A1 motorway. For travel to Primošten, Rogoznica, Grebaštica, Žaborić, and Trogir, it is recommended to use the Prgomet exit instead of the Šibenik and Vrpolje exits.
The City of Šibenik, in cooperation with utility companies, has secured additional parking areas. Drivers coming from the direction of Zadar should use the TEF parking lot, those arriving via the A1 motorway should use the Podi parking lot, while the Mandalina parking lot (Bribirski Kneževi barracks) is intended for vehicles from the Split direction. For those coming from the Knin direction, parking is provided in the Municipality of Bilice. Clearly marked pedestrian routes to the stadium will be available from all parking lots.
From Tuesday at 2 PM until Wednesday at 5 AM, a temporary no-fly zone will be established over the immediate and wider Šibenik area up to an altitude of 500 meters. The ban also applies to unmanned aerial vehicles, i.e., drones, with the only exceptions being flights by aircraft of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense. Additionally, in accordance with the Police Duties and Powers Act, the police will record the public gathering with audio and video equipment before, during, and after the concert.
Police particularly urge drivers not to get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol and to obey traffic regulations. In case of congestion, citizens should immediately form a corridor for emergency vehicles to pass. After the concert, a large number of pedestrians is expected on the roads, so drivers must slow down and be extra cautious.
Visitors are advised to arrive at the concert on time, follow the instructions of organizers, police, and emergency services, and bring necessary medications and enough water. Parents are especially urged to keep a constant eye on their children due to expected crowds. After the concert, it is recommended to leave the area gradually to avoid additional congestion and ensure a safe departure for everyone.
