For nine days now, the Zagreb police have been intensively searching for the driver and vehicle involved in a serious traffic accident in Sesvete. The accident occurred on July 29, 2026 at the intersection of Budimska and Starigradska streets, and the driver fled the scene after the collision, leaving behind a seriously injured person.
In order to obtain key information, the Zagreb Police Department has issued an appeal for public assistance and released a photo of the car they are looking for. It is a Volkswagen Passat, B6 Variant model, silver metallic color, with unknown license plates. It is believed that the unknown driver may have knowledge of the circumstances of the accident itself.
"The photo shows a passenger car driven by an unknown driver who is presumed to have information about the aforementioned traffic accident. The vehicle is a Volkswagen Passat, B6 Variant, silver metallic, with unknown license plates. One person was seriously injured in the accident. If citizens have useful information about the vehicle in the photo or the possible driver, we ask them to notify us by calling 192 or 01/6333-470," stated the Zagreb Police Department.
