Zadar police arrested a 25-year-old Croatian citizen suspected of robbery theft in a store in the Jazine neighborhood. According to the Zadar Police Department, the incident occurred on August 3, 2026, at around 8 PM.
The suspect entered the store of a retail company and took several items with a total estimated value of several hundred euros. As he tried to leave the store with the stolen goods, a 39-year-old employee confronted him at the door and attempted to stop him.
A brief physical altercation ensued, during which the 25-year-old shoved the worker and fled the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Officers from the Zadar Police Station with the Nin Branch did not have to search for the perpetrator for long. He was located and arrested in Zadar the same evening, after which a criminal investigation was conducted.
Upon completion of the investigation, the suspect was handed over to the custody supervisor of the Zadar Police Department. A criminal report was filed against him with the competent state attorney's office for the criminal offense of robbery theft.
