A security guard-firefighter was injured on Wednesday evening while attempting to extinguish a fire that broke out at the Cromos boja i lakova company on Radnička Road in Zagreb. According to unofficial information, the accident occurred when he activated a large wheeled initial fire extinguishing device, part of which subsequently exploded.
Professional Firefighters Also Responded
The fire broke out in a cabinet full of paints and varnishes. In addition to the employees of the private company Florijan servis, responsible for guarding the facilities, the Zagreb Public Fire Brigade (JVP) was notified via the number 193. Professional firefighters who arrived at the scene fully extinguished the fire.
