The Croatian national team's number 10 arrives at Gripe as the crown jewel of the summer transfer window ahead of the debut season in the SuperSport HMNL.
Split's MNK Hajduk announced on Tuesday, August 5, 2026, that they have brought in Josip Jurlina, a regular member of the Croatian national futsal team. The 26-year-old, considered one of the best Croatian futsal players, has signed for the "Whites" in a transfer that the club has labeled on social media as the biggest in its history.
After a series of reinforcements that arrived at the Gripe hall this summer, Jurlina's arrival represents the pinnacle of the transfer window. The club is preparing for its debut season in the top tier of Croatian futsal, the SuperSport HMNL, and with this signing, the squad is now fully rounded out.
"With the arrival of Josip Jurlina, the biggest transfer in the club's history has been realized, and the playing squad for the upcoming season is complete. We now fully turn our attention to preparations for the historic debut season in the SS HMNL," MNK Hajduk announced, accompanied by a special video on social media, as reported by Dalmacija News.
Although he is only 26 years old, Josip Jurlina already boasts an enviable career. He took his first steps in the youth categories of Split's MNK Split, where he won the Croatian cadet and junior championship titles. With the Croatian U-19 national team, he made history by winning the silver medal at the European Championship in Latvia, where he was also named to the tournament's best team.
He then moved to Olmissum, where he recorded an impressive 180 appearances and scored 43 goals. During his time at that club, he won two Croatian championship titles, one Croatian Cup, and one Supercup.
The pinnacle of Jurlina's career so far came in 2026. With the Croatian senior national team, he won the bronze medal, and he will especially remember the third-place match against France, in which he found the back of the net.
With his arrival, MNK Hajduk gains a player with rich international experience and a proven winning mentality, which should be of crucial importance in the challenging debut season in the top tier.
