The Humani i. project and the Ljudi za ljude association are collecting donations for firewood for the most vulnerable residents, primarily the elderly and families in difficult financial situations.
While most citizens are currently seeking relief from the summer heat, residents of the Glina area are already looking toward winter with apprehension. The question that plagues them year after year is whether they will have enough firewood. To ensure they have a warmer home, the Humani i. project has launched a humanitarian campaign called "Only People," in collaboration with the humanitarian association Ljudi za ljude.
The goal is to raise funds for the purchase of firewood for the most vulnerable residents. The focus is on the elderly, single individuals, and families who, due to their difficult financial situation, cannot secure firewood on their own for the upcoming cold months.
Members of the Humani i. project and representatives of the Ljudi za ljude association have recently visited beneficiaries in the Glina area. They spoke with them and recorded their life stories, which bear witness to the harsh conditions in which they live. Numerous villages still harbor stories of loneliness and modest living, where incomes are often insufficient even for basic needs.
One of them is Mrs. Anka, who, thanks to previous donations, has already received a delivery of firewood. Her story best illustrates how much a single donation can mean, a warmer home, a safer winter, and the realization that she has not been forgotten. But Anka is not alone. There are still many people in the Glina area who urgently need this kind of help.
The "Only People" campaign is still ongoing, with the aim of securing firewood for as many fellow citizens as possible who cannot afford it themselves. Every donation, regardless of the amount, directly helps those who need it most.
