The following day, August 4, 2026, on the Zadar Peninsula, another unknown thief stole a wallet containing documents and cash. The victim was a 68-year-old Austrian woman, with damages amounting to several hundred euros. In both cases, criminal charges are being filed against the unknown perpetrators with the Municipal State Attorney's Office in Zadar, and the police are actively searching for the thieves.
Police officers from the Biograd Police Station conducted a criminal investigation into a minor Croatian citizen. He is suspected of approaching a 67-year-old Croatian woman on July 31, 2026, while she was standing in front of her house in Drage, and brazenly stealing her wallet from her handbag. The wallet contained exactly 200.00 euros, as reported by Slobodna Dalmacija.
The victim soon found her discarded wallet nearby, but without the money. After the investigation was completed, a criminal report was filed against the minor with the competent state attorney's office in Zadar for the criminal offense of aggravated theft.
