Eleven years ago, in 2015, one performance marked the anniversary celebration of the military-police operation "Storm." Then 12-year-old Mia Negovetić from Rijeka sang the anthem "Lijepa naša" at the military parade in Zagreb, accompanied by the Klapa Sveti Juraj of the Croatian Navy. Her powerful vocals and emotional interpretation left the entire nation breathless, and that moment, despite immense stage fright, became her springboard to a music career.
From "Zvjezdice" to International Recognition
The same year, she confirmed her talent by winning the first season of RTL's competition "Zvjezdice," making her name known throughout the country. A music career was within reach, and international fame soon followed. However, Mia decided to build her career at home, gradually and patiently.
Proving Herself at Dora and Her Debut Album
She also proved her maturity at Dora, Croatia's Eurovision selection, where she achieved notable results, finishing in high second and third places. The pinnacle of her work so far came last year, in 2025, with the release of her debut album "Misli." She worked on it for five years, showcasing her songwriting side.
A New Image and a Business Venture
Alongside her musical maturation, her visual expression also changed. Instead of a girl with glasses, she was now a young woman with a distinctive look, tattoos, and a piercing. Although music remains her greatest love, Mia has also stepped into the business world and now works at a real estate agency, demonstrating her versatility and entrepreneurial spirit.
