The central Rijeka program for the 31st anniversary of the military-police operation Storm will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, as reported by Novi list. The program begins with participants gathering in front of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 7:30 AM.
Mass for the Homeland and Ceremonial Flag Raising
At 8 AM, a Mass for the Homeland will be celebrated, and an hour later, at 9 AM, the Croatian national anthem will be performed. The anthem will be sung by Katja Mušinov, a student from Delnice, after which the flag of the Republic of Croatia will be raised on the bell tower of the Great Church, better known as the Leaning Tower.
Multi-Day Program with Parade and Concert
According to Novi list, the celebration of the 31st anniversary of Operation Storm is marked by a multi-day program that includes wreath-laying ceremonies, a ceremonial parade called "Pobjednik 2026" (Victor 2026), the raising of Croatian flags, a tour of ships, a concert by the band Opća opasnost, and the lighting of torches on the Krk Bridge.
The event is organized by the Association of Homeland War Veterans of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, with the support of the City of Rijeka and the participation of Armada.
