The football world was marked by three significant transfers announced on Saturday, August 2, 2026. The most notable name among them is young Bosnia and Herzegovina international Kerim Alajbegović, who signed a five-year contract with Italian giants Juventus.
Alajbegović, originally from Cologne, will turn 19 on September 21. Last season, he wore the jersey of Austrian side Salzburg, scoring 13 goals in 44 appearances. He developed through the youth ranks at Cologne before moving to Bayer Leverkusen, who bought out his contract this summer. It is as a member of the German club that the young striker now moves to the Turin giants.
For the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, he has so far made 11 appearances and scored two goals. One of them came against Qatar at this year's World Cup held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
On the same day, German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed on their official X profile the arrival of Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Belgian club Club Brugge. The 25-year-old signed a contract with his new club until June 2031.
Eintracht's sporting director, Markus Krösche, explained the motives behind the transfer on the club's official website. "Raphael Onyedika impresses us not only with his robustness and strategic understanding of the game, but above all with his exceptional consistency. He has been a regular starter for several years and has celebrated numerous titles in Belgium," said Krösche.
He added that the player, at 25, still has great development potential and is an important building block for the team's structure. Onyedika arrives in Germany after a successful spell in Belgium, where he won two league titles, the Belgian Cup, and the Belgian Super Cup with Club Brugge. Before that, he lifted the Danish Cup trophy with Danish side Midtjylland.
The third piece of news comes from Spain, where Deportivo La Coruña terminated the contract of Moroccan striker Mohamed Bouldini. He joined Deportivo from Levante during the 2024-2025 season, with the contract initially running until 2028. Now, the 30-year-old is a free agent. According to Le Matin Sport, Moroccan club Raja Club Athletic has already expressed interest in bringing in the experienced striker, who knows the local league well. Throughout his career, Bouldini has also played for Ittihad Tanger, Portuguese clubs Oliveirense, Académica, and Santa Clara, as well as Spanish sides Fuenlabrada, Levante, and Granada on loan.
