Harry Kane's future is once again in the spotlight. With his Bayern Munich contract expiring in 2027, calls are growing louder for the 33-year-old England captain to return to Tottenham Hotspur and complete his legacy by breaking Alan Shearer's Premier League record.
The most vocal among them is host and passionate Spurs fan Majestic, who made a public plea to the Bayern striker on talkSPORT. His appeal began with an apology for the reaction to Kane's initial departure from the club.
"Mr. Harry Kane. I've already apologized to you, because when you first left, you broke my heart and I didn't want you to win anything. But Harry has won-he's a world-class striker. You've succeeded in Germany, you've won," said Majestic, adding that he personally doesn't see Bayern winning the Champions League anytime soon and that Arsenal is a more likely candidate.
After the emotional intro, Majestic directly addressed both the Bavarian club and the player with a concrete proposal: "Bayern, you've had a good time with Harry, he's won you the league. We'll give you your money back, you'll get £81 million back, the release clause, we'll activate it right away. Harry, come home. We'll give you £400,000 a week, big numbers, but he deserves it, a world star."
Kane currently has 213 Premier League goals, just 47 behind Shearer's record of 260. During his 14 years at Tottenham, where he played 435 matches and scored 280 goals in all competitions, he became the first player in league history to score 100 away goals.
Majestic believes that a return without European commitments would be ideal for Kane's record chase. He also relayed a hypothetical message from coach Roberto De Zerbi: "Look, one season without European football, which gives you a bit more rest after a long season and the World Cup... it gives you focus on scoring goals in the Premier League, you don't have to play in the League Cup."
"You're so close to Alan Shearer's record. If you have a good season this year, score 20+ goals, which is very possible, you could become a Bundesliga champion, the best English scorer, Tottenham's top scorer, and maybe the best Premier League scorer in history," Majestic said.
Kane now finds himself at a crucial juncture. On one hand, there's extending his stay in the Bundesliga and competing for domestic and European trophies with Bayern, while on the other, there's the lure of returning to the Premier League and the chance to cement his place in history as the league's all-time top scorer. Although he has settled well in Munich after three years, interest from Barcelona further complicates the situation.
Majestic concluded the appeal with these words: "This is Harry's legacy carved in stone. People can't say he hasn't won anything; he went and did it. Now he can come home and push Spurs forward. Come on Harry, it's time to come home, it's good for you, it's good for us, it's good for Bayern, let's do it."
