Just days after the American tabloid TMZ Sports reported that Anamaria Goltes, the Slovenian basketball star's former fiancée, had dropped her legal case in California, news emerged of a new lawsuit being filed. This time, as reported by Sportske novosti, citing TMZ Sports and the Slovenian newspaper Delo, Goltes is seeking justice in Slovenia, demanding as much as $50 million from Dončić.
According to sources, Goltes is seeking $40 million for herself, plus an additional €10 million designated for their two daughters. Delo reports that such a demand "seems absurd to Luka Dončić." The decision to withdraw the initial lawsuit in California came after her legal team assessed that the American court lacked jurisdiction to rule on child custody matters for children residing in Slovenia.
Beyond the financial aspect, the lawsuit also includes a request for further restrictions on Dončić's parental rights. The LA Lakers player currently spends two days a week with his daughters, two-year-old Gabriela and seven-month-old Olivia. Goltes now seeks to reduce that time to just one day per week. She has also hired a new legal team for this fresh legal battle.
Although it was expected that the former partners would reach a settlement, sources from Slovenia's Delo reveal that the relationship between Goltes and Dončić has not been amicably resolved and that "significant tensions still exist." TMZ Sports speculates that Goltes dropped the case in the United States because she believed she might lose it there, especially since Dončić himself argued that California was not the appropriate venue for custody decisions.
