Hong Kong Fan Travels Thousands of Kilometers

Last night's concert by Marko Perković Thompson at Šubićevac in Šibenik drew tens of thousands of people, but one fan stood out in particular. Among the crowd was Yat Lung Zte, who traveled all the way from Hong Kong to Croatia to see his favorite musician perform.

A Multi-Hour Journey Is No Obstacle

Zte has shown for years how much Thompson's music and Croatia mean to him, and the vast distance clearly poses no challenge. This isn't his first visit, he also attended the concert at Zagreb's Hipodrom, after which he revealed that he had traveled more than 12 hours to reach Croatia. The long journey didn't dampen his enthusiasm, and this time too, he wasn't about to miss the chance to hear his idol's songs live.

Ahead of last night's concert, Zte reached out to his followers on social media. "Live from Šubićevac, just a few hours until the concert, let's go," he posted on Facebook as the area around the stadium filled with fans.

Visit to Knin and Commemoration of Operation Storm

His trip to Croatia wasn't just about the music. Zte also used the journey to visit Knin, where he took part in commemorating the anniversary of the military-police operation Storm. He has previously shared that he comes to Knin every year for the anniversary, further cementing his status among local fans.

A Special Guest on Stage

The concert at Šubićevac also featured a special surprise guest. Retired Bishop of Šibenik, Ante Ivas, took the stage and recited verses from the song "Maranatha." Ivas wrote the song specifically for Thompson, and the performance was accompanied by a stage design filled with church stained-glass windows.

The arrival of Yat Lung Zte once again confirmed that Thompson's fanbase extends beyond Croatia and neighboring countries. People are willing to travel nearly halfway around the world for his performances, and Zte has become a symbol of that dedication.
