A stroll through central Zagreb in early August revealed that the doors of restaurant YEZI, located at Amruševa 4 within the boutique hotel art'otel Zagreb, are closed. Although people could be seen inside through the windows, the restaurant is currently listed as "temporarily closed" on Google.
It remains unclear whether this is a short pause, a change in business model, or something entirely different, but the establishment soon responded on social media. In a post dated July 26, 2026, they stated they "remain closed until further notice" and added: "We await you on the art'otel's rooftop with cocktails and the most beautiful view of the city. Thank you for your understanding."
YEZI first opened its doors at the end of 2023 and from the very beginning attracted attention with its modern Pan-Asian cuisine concept. It combined Asian preparation techniques with local ingredients, offering dishes such as dim sum, creative appetizers, main courses, desserts, cocktails, and various teas. The interior was an important part of the overall experience, with an emphasis on food presentation, atmosphere, and a modern approach to Asian gastronomy.
From the start, the restaurant was positioned in a higher price category. According to information available on Google, average prices per person exceed 50 euros, placing it among the more expensive dining options in central Zagreb. On that same platform, YEZI has an average rating of 4.6, with many visitors praising the quality of the food, pleasant atmosphere, and interior decor. However, comments also include criticism, mainly regarding the level of service, coordination, and certain situations with staff.
While the restaurant is currently closed, guests can still visit the art'otel's rooftop space, where cocktails and a more relaxed atmosphere are offered with views over Zagreb's rooftops. The exact date of YEZI's reopening is currently unknown, nor are there any plans for changes to their concept. It is still listed as "temporarily closed" on Google, and the restaurant has said that guests are welcome at that location until further notice.
