Horror on A3: Firefighters Extricate Trapped Person

Several people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Monday, August 3, 2026, at around 11 a.m. on the A3 motorway, on the stretch between Lužani and Slavonski Brod.
According to a statement from the Brod-Posavina Police Department, all emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. Due to the investigation and cleanup of the accident, traffic on that section of the highway was moving slowly, with only one lane open.
The Oriovac Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call, having received a report that a person was trapped in one of the vehicles. According to photos published by the Oriovac VFD on their Facebook profile, the car ended up on its roof after the crash.
One fire truck with three firefighters took part in the rescue operation. The intervention was successfully completed at 12:35 p.m. "Wishing the injured a speedy recovery," the Oriovac VFD said in their post. Multiple emergency medical vehicles also arrived at the scene to treat the victims.
