August at the 56th Trogir Cultural Summer brings the richest and most diverse part of the program, transforming Trogir, Plano, Drvenik Veliki, and Drvenik Mali into a grand open-air stage. Throughout the month, visitors can expect a series of concerts by domestic and regional stars, traditional festivities, theater performances, exhibitions, and top-tier art festivals that confirm the city's status as one of the most attractive summer cultural destinations on the coast.
One of the most anticipated events is certainly the concert by Željko Joksimović, who will perform on August 12, 2026, in the unique setting of Kamerlengo Tower. Just two days later, on August 14, 2026, the audience can expect another highlight, a grand concert by the band Magazin at Brigi, in the Lokvice harbor. This long-standing pop group will deliver an evening filled with timeless hits.
Fans of the domestic music scene will also get their fix earlier. As early as August 7, 2026, Jakov Jozinović, one of the most popular young performers known for his emotive performances, will take the stage at Kamerlengo Tower. At the end of the month, on August 22, 2026, the celebration moves to Drvenik Mali, where Sandi Cenov will perform at the traditional fishermen's feast "Zvizda mora." The organizers have also arranged free boat transport from Trogir for this event.
Gastronomic and musical delights combine on August 8, 2026, on Drvenik Veliki, where the popular Fishermen's Night will take place. Viva Band will provide the atmosphere, and free boat transport has been organized so that everyone interested can enjoy the Dalmatian vibe. On the same island, visitors can also experience a special treat, the traditional meteor shower viewing known as "Suze sv. Lovre" (Tears of St. Lawrence), an event that annually gathers astronomy enthusiasts and lovers of the starry sky.
A traditional fishermen's feast will also be held in Žedno, featuring a performance by Trogirske Kante, once again combining local gastronomy, Dalmatian song, and pleasant summer socializing.
For classical music lovers, the Guitar Masters Festival takes place from August 26 to 31, 2026. The grand opening on August 26, 2026, is reserved for world-renowned Italian virtuoso Aniello Desiderio, hailed by critics as one of the greatest guitarists of his generation. Two days later, on August 28, 2026, the prominent young Croatian guitarist Paula Ćurić will perform.
The end of the month brings a true spectacle. On August 31, 2026, Kamerlengo Tower will host a Flamenco program performed by top Spanish artists: guitarist Eduardo Rebollar, dancer Yolanda Lorenzo, dancer Antonio Lopez, and singer Manuel de Lola, bringing a touch of authentic Andalusia to the heart of Trogir.
The program is exceptionally rich beyond the main concerts. The theater play "Ženici" will be performed with free admission at the playground in Plano, while art enthusiasts can view the exhibition "Unutarnji mostovi" (Inner Bridges) by Sandra Abou Abdo at the Trogir City Museum. The City Loggia will host performances by Narodna glazba Trogir and HGD "Zrinski" Donja Kaštela, while the Church of St. George on Drvenik Veliki will host the Drveniške evenings of classical music.
Vocal music lovers can enjoy the festive Gala Concert "Opera Selecta" performed by the Oratorijski zbor sv. Marka (Oratorio Choir of St. Mark). The Rector's Palace will feature performances by Klapa Stivanja, as well as the Mandolin Orchestra of KUD Kvadrilja, KUD Kvadrilja, and Klapa Trogir. Trogirski glazbenici (Trogir Musicians) will present a Concert at Trifora, an Evening of Film Music, and a romantic Evening of Tango at the Rector's Palace.
Tradition and family are not forgotten. The International Folklore Festival at Ivan Pavla II Square will bring together groups from various countries, while the youngest visitors can enjoy the interactive program "Šarenko i prijatelji" (Šarenko and Friends) in Park Malarija and the Children's Firefighting Competition at Kamerlengo Tower. Creative souls will be drawn to the Art & Craft Festival, which celebrates art and design through exhibitions, a handicraft fair, and workshops, and film enthusiasts can enjoy two screenings at the Summer Cinema, Kino Mediteran. The program continues into September, with the Split band Kuzma & Shaka Zulu performing in Plano, and Park Malarija hosting the Bokun Festival, the Festival of Silent Film and Other Senses.
