Pure luck prevented a more serious traffic accident in the Smokovik area, on the approach to the city. On the new ramp, a driver in the right lane decided to abruptly change direction at the last moment. His unpredictable decision nearly caused a collision with another vehicle already in its lane.
As seen in footage posted on August 4, 2026, on the Facebook page "Traffic Incidents and Accidents," the crash was avoided solely thanks to the lightning-fast reaction of the other driver, who managed to avoid contact. The incident passed without serious consequences but has once again raised questions about safety on that stretch of road.
Social media users commented that this is a daily occurrence that could be prevented with better traffic signage. "We haven't had those rubber bollards here for a long time; this happens every day, probably due to navigation. And those little posts would even stop the idiots who approach everything and cut in at the last second," wrote one Facebook user.
Others chimed in with short but clear comments. "I see this regularly," added one, while another simply called the driver who caused the dangerous situation a "wild man."
The video clearly shows how close careless driving came to turning into a traffic accident with uncertain consequences. Although there was no property damage or injuries in this case, local drivers hope that the authorities will heed their appeals and install appropriate protective equipment on the problematic ramp.
