Alcaraz Overtakes Zverev, Čilić Climbs in New ATP Rankings

The latest ATP rankings, released on Monday, August 3, 2026, brought significant changes at the very top, as well as a slight shift for Croatia's best tennis player, Marin Čilić. While leader Jannik Sinner maintained a commanding lead, there was a rotation on the podium behind him.

Alcaraz Returns to Second Place

Spain's Carlos Alcaraz moved up from third to second place, overtaking Germany's Alexander Zverev, who dropped to third. Alcaraz now has 8,160 points, while Zverev trails with 8,120 points. Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime remained in fourth place with 4,740 points.

Novak Djokovic held onto fifth place with 3,760 points, the same as last week. Behind him, numerous changes occurred among players ranked sixth through tenth. Russia's Daniil Medvedev is sixth (3,620 points), Australia's Alex De Minaur seventh (3,560), Italy's Flavio Cobolli eighth (3,330), and the top ten is rounded out by Americans Taylor Fritz (3,230) and Ben Shelton (2,680).

Čilić Advances, Prižmić Stable

For Croatian tennis fans, the most important news is Marin Čilić's progress. The experienced 37-year-old moved up one spot and is now the 85th-ranked player in the world with 721 points. Dino Prižmić retained his previous week's 98th position with 652 points.

Borna Gojo also moved up one spot and is now ranked 163rd (348 points). Luka Mikrut dropped two places to 180th with 317 points, while Matej Dodig climbed one spot and is now the 257th-ranked player in the world with 214 points.

Serbian Players in the Rankings

Among other Serbian players, Miomir Kecmanović dropped two places to 62nd with 925 points. Hamad Međedović remained in 73rd with 844 points, while Dušan Lajović is ranked 149th with 378 points.
