The new, largest SUV in the brand's history brings innovations such as hands-free driving, a panoramic roof, and a business-class-inspired interior.
On August 4, 2026, Audi officially unveiled the Q9, its largest SUV model to date. With this vehicle, the brand introduces the number 9 for the first time, strategically expanding the top of its portfolio and targeting customers who seek maximum space, advanced technology, and ultimate luxury.
Audi's CEO, Gernot Döllner, emphasized that the new model embodies the future direction of the brand. "In the future, the slogan 'Progress through Technology' will be increasingly defined by the in-car experience, as vehicles represent much more than mere means of transportation. For many of our customers, vehicles are becoming mobile living spaces. This is exactly what the Audi Q9 embodies as the new flagship of our portfolio," Döllner said in a statement reported by Novi list.
He added that "premium materials, individual seats with electric adjustment in the second row, and automatic doors confirm our commitment to interior quality. Combined with the latest driver assistance systems and a comprehensive user experience, it becomes clear in which direction we are developing the Audi brand."
The new Q9 comes standard with seven seats, and all three seats in the second row are equipped with anchor points for child seats, which will be especially appreciated by large families. For those seeking additional comfort, a six-seat version is also available as an option, offering a business-class atmosphere. All six seats feature partial electric adjustment, with an optional heating function.
Particularly noteworthy are the two individual electrically adjustable seats in the second row. In the third row, the backrest of each seat can be folded down independently at the touch of a button, while the sport seats plus in the first row offer ventilation and massage functions. The first-ever automatic doors elevate the comfort level when entering and exiting the vehicle.
The Q9 is packed with technological solutions, including curved third-generation digital OLED rear lights and the largest panoramic roof ever fitted to an Audi model. The adaptive driver assistance system plus enables hands-free driving, while the advanced suspension and legendary quattro all-wheel drive, combined with high-performance powertrains, ensure exceptional performance and safety on virtually any surface.
