Croatian national team player Borna Sosa surprised and delighted his followers on social media. On his Instagram profile, he posted a video from a Catholic church in London where he joined a Croatian church choir in performing the spiritual song "Rivers of Living Water."
The footage, posted on August 3, 2026, shows the 27-year-old defender standing in the second row, hymn book in hand, singing along with the choir to the accompaniment of piano and guitar. In just one day, the video garnered over 10,000 positive reactions, and comments full of support and admiration keep coming in.
Many commenters highlighted Sosa's openness in expressing his Christian faith. "May your example encourage many to live their faith openly. God has guided you every step of the way," wrote one follower. Another added: "You've gone up 200 percent in my estimation! Recall that Borna Sosa and his long-time partner Ivona Šimunović recently tied the knot after six years of dating. The couple welcomed their son Šimun last year. Although he did not make the final squad for the 2026 World Cup under coach Zlatko Dalić, Sosa continues his club career with London's Crystal Palace. Throughout his career so far, he has played for Dinamo, Stuttgart, and Ajax, with one of his greatest achievements being the bronze medal with the Croatian national team at the World Cup in Qatar.
