The operation was conducted in close cooperation with the Association for the Protection and Preservation of Tradition "Poprug" from Sukošan and the Public Institution Kornati National Park. It was the Kornati National Park that provided crucial logistical support on the ground, offering its official vessel for the safe transport of the animals across the sea.

A New Home on Piškera

Upon arrival at the destination, the care of the donkeys was fully taken over by the OPG Piškera family farm. The animals were placed on the island of Piškera, where all necessary conditions for a dignified life were immediately ensured, proper care and constant access to fresh water and food.

"Thanks to the joint cooperation and swift reaction of everyone involved, the donkeys are now safely taken care of," said the Municipality of Murter-Kornati.

The Municipality also extended its official thanks to all participants in the operation. They thanked the "Poprug" Association for their quick intervention and field assistance, the Public Institution Kornati National Park for providing transport, and OPG Piškera for their willingness to offer the animals a long-term and safe home.
