Dinamo Breaks Membership Record 150 Days Early

GNK Dinamo has broken its own club record for the number of members and friends of the club. The figure of 65,243, which was set last year as the highest in history, was surpassed by the Blues on August 3, 2026, a full 150 days earlier than in the previous season.
The club's official announcement came on Monday afternoon, and Dinamo stated that this is a confirmation of unity and growing love for the club. "GNK Dinamo last year counted a total of 65,243 members and friends of the club - more than ever in its long and glorious history. Today, we have just surpassed that record!" the statement reads.
Alongside the growth in membership, the club emphasized the responsibility that comes with that number. "Members are the owners of our club, the guardians of its identity and tradition, and the foundation of the civic, member-owned Dinamo that we are building together for generations to come," the announcement adds.
While the membership milestone was being reached in Zagreb, Justas Lasickas played his 50th match for Rijeka at Rujevica and scored his first goal for the club. His goal, assisted by Fruk, secured three crucial points in the season opener.
"I arrived at the far post, I don't put much emphasis on that. The most important thing is that we won; I know it sounds like a cliché, but it really is the most important thing," the Lithuanian footballer said for the club's website.
Lasickas is aware that the team must improve. "It's good that we took three points, but we need to control the game better. Towards the end of the match, we lost a bit of control, but that's normal; it's the start of the season, and you can feel the fatigue from the European match," he analyzed.
Both clubs now turn their focus to European challenges. Dinamo hosts Kauno Žalgiris on Tuesday in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, while Rijeka welcomes Finnish side Ilves on Thursday at Rujevica, with kickoff at 8:45 PM.
"I think it will be a physically tough match; I know some players in that club, and they will certainly be ready. We have to be at our highest level; it will be another European night at Rujevica, and that's what we play for," Lasickas announced.
In the blue jersey, Stjepan Radeljić also made his debut, playing all 90 minutes for Dinamo on August 2. The club accompanied his debut with a photo by Luka Stanzl and the message: "First 90 minutes in the blue jersey for our Stjepan Radeljić."
From August 6 to 9, the iconic Mladen Ramljak Tournament is also scheduled. Alongside Dinamo's youth team, this year's participants include Club Brugge, Juventus, Benfica, Ajax, Athletic Bilbao, Hajduk, and Bologna. Admission is free, and broadcasts are available on the Dinamo Plus platform.
