The State Attorney's Office of the Republic of Croatia (DORH) released details on Tuesday of the serious traffic accident that occurred in Split on Monday afternoon. A 22-year-old female passenger was killed in a collision involving three vehicles.
According to the information gathered so far, the accident occurred around 2:35 PM. A 22-year-old driver of a Toyota Aygo, entering the intersection, struck the front of a Mercedes. The Toyota was thrown by the force of the impact and then, moving out of control, hit another vehicle.
The 22-year-old female passenger in the Toyota Aygo was fatally injured in the accident.
The on-site investigation was conducted by the on-duty deputy of the Split County State Attorney's Office in cooperation with traffic police officers.
According to DORH, necessary traffic and other expert opinions will be sought, along with additional investigative steps, to clarify all factors that contributed to this serious traffic accident.
