Zagreb's Boogaloo club will host one of the most influential bands in the history of funk-rock fusion on Monday, November 23, 2026. The American group Mothers Finest, whose career spans over fifty years, takes the stage at 8 PM, bringing their signature explosive energy to the club's intimate setting.
The band, which pioneered the fusion of hard rock, funk, and soul into a unique musical expression in the early 1970s, is fronted by the charismatic Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy and Glenn Murdock. It was this bold genre-blending that paved the way for countless artists who followed, with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Living Colour, Rage Against the Machine, and Fishbone among those citing them as a direct influence.
Mothers Finest didn't build their status as a major live act overnight. Over more than five decades on the scene, they've shared stages with rock giants like The Who, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and Black Sabbath. A special place in their biography is reserved for their legendary performance at Germany's Rockpalast Rocknacht in 1978, which is still considered one of the key moments of their career.
Audiences in Zagreb will have a rare opportunity to see the band in near-original lineup. In addition to the aforementioned Kennedy couple, Gary "Moses Mo" Moore and Jerry "Wyzard" Seay will join them on stage, once again proving why many consider them one of the most important bands to bridge different musical styles.
For all fans of top-tier rock, funk, and powerful live sound, tickets are available in three categories. A limited batch of early bird tickets is on sale for 30 euros. Once those sell out, the advance price will be 35 euros. If any remain, tickets at the door on the day of the concert will cost 40 euros.
