The club marked the 31st anniversary of the military-police operation Oluja and Croatian Veterans Day with a post on its official channels right after midnight, paying tribute to one of the crucial moments in recent Croatian history.

The congratulation was accompanied by an image showing the well-known choreography from the north stand of the Split stadium and the Croatian chequerboard. Alongside it, they sent a strong and unequivocal message from Poljud.

"No one will take her from us, we won't give her up! We wish all Croatians a happy Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Croatian Veterans Day"

Torcida Calls for Gathering

On the same day, Torcida also shared its message. Hajduk's fan group spoke with the verses

"Croatian sons will again march through their Knin!"

and called on all supporters to attend the march celebrating the holiday. According to their announcement, the gathering is scheduled for 6 PM in the parking lot in front of the "Andrija Matijaš Pauk" barracks, from where a joint procession will set off.

Celebration in Knin and European Challenge

Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Croatian Veterans Day was established in memory of the 1995 Oluja operation. This year, the central state celebration is again held in Knin, with full-day protocol, religious, and ceremonial programs.

For Hajduk, paying tribute to veterans on this date has already become a tradition. This year's message to fans comes ahead of a new European test. Already on Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Whites face the first match of the third qualifying round of the Conference League, where they will visit Lithuania's Žalgiris.
