At the University of Zagreb, a total of 3,583 vacancies remain for the autumn enrollment round of the 2026/2027 academic year, spanning undergraduate, integrated, and professional undergraduate programs. The data were published in the official vacancy table on August 5, 2026, in line with the enrollment competition announced by the University on April 30 this year.
Of the total number, the largest share of places is reserved for full-time students, totaling 2,273. For part-time students, 913 places are available, while 397 places are designated for foreign nationals. A special enrollment quota of 181 places has been secured for Croats living outside the Republic of Croatia.
Looking at the distribution across scientific fields, the most vacancies, a striking 1,439, remain in social sciences programs. In second place are technical sciences with 792 places, followed by humanities with 568 and biotechnical sciences with 359 vacancies. Natural sciences have 202 vacancies, biomedicine and health 109, while the arts field has 52 places left.
Among individual institutions, the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb has the most vacancies, totaling 519, of which as many as 416 are for part-time students. The Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin (FOI) follows with 378 vacancies, while the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has 339.5 places left. The Faculty of Law offers 337 vacancies.
When looking at specific study programs, the largest number of places awaits in the integrated Business Economics program at the Faculty of Economics, with 229 openings. At FOI, the undergraduate Information and Business Systems program has 199 vacancies, the integrated Law program has 188, and the professional undergraduate Business Economics program has 154 places.
In some programs, only a few places remain. For instance, the undergraduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology, Molecular Biology, Japanese Studies, and Film and TV Directing each have just one vacancy left. Two places are available in Biology and Landscape Architecture programs. At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, vacancies exist in most dual-subject language and humanities programs, including Croatian Studies, German Studies, Romance Studies, Slavic Studies, Philosophy, History, and Comparative Literature.
On the other hand, in the autumn round, there are no vacancies left in the single-subject Psychology and Communication Studies programs at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, nor in certain arts programs such as Graphics and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts.
