The Municipality of Bedekovčina and the grieving family have issued an explicit appeal to all journalists, photojournalists, and camera crews to completely refrain from attending the final farewell and burial at the cemetery.

"We kindly ask you to strictly respect the right to privacy of the grieving mother and family, and to allow them to bid a dignified and peaceful farewell to their innocent children, without the presence of cameras, microphones, or the public," stated the Municipality of Bedekovčina and the grieving family.

During the Day of Mourning, all public, cultural, and sports events of an entertainment nature organized by the Municipality and municipal companies in Bedekovčina have been cancelled.
