In their fifth preseason match ahead of the new season, played on August 5, 2026, Torino defeated third-tier side Vado 3:1. The main headline from the match comes from the Croatian contingent at the club, striker Sandro Kulenović scored twice and continued his remarkable scoring run in preseason.
Alongside Kulenović, Croatian international Nikola Vlašić also got minutes in the second half, coming on in the 62nd minute in place of the in-form goalscorer.
Kulenović found the back of the net as early as the 8th minute. He capitalized on hesitation in the Vado defense, slotting a precise shot into the bottom corner from inside the box to give Torino an early lead. However, any doubt about the winner was erased in the 88th minute when 19-year-old Tommaso Gabellini tapped in from a low cross from the left to set the final score at 3:1.
With his brace today, Kulenović has increased his preseason goal tally to an impressive seven. For context, as reported by Index.hr, he had previously scored four goals in a dominant 13:0 win over Pinzolo Valrendene and one goal in a narrow 1:0 victory against Alcione. This kind of form is a great sign for Torino ahead of the new season.
