The Summer at Gradina event once again lives up to its reputation as one of Rijeka's most recognizable summer programs. Continuing the series of concerts in the unique setting of Trsat Castle and Nugent Park, August brings three distinct musical events that cater to audiences of all generations.
First in line is Vanna, one of Croatia's most successful pop singers, whose concert is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2026, at 9 PM. Her hits have marked the domestic music scene for over three decades, ever since she began her career as the lead singer of the band ET.
After her success with the group, Vanna built a notable solo career, and in 2001 she represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest. Today, besides being a respected vocalist, she is also known as a mentor on the popular TV show The Voice, further cementing her status on the domestic scene.
A week later, on Friday August 14, 2026, also at 9 PM, the stage at Trsat Castle is taken over by Klapa Rišpet. This ensemble, one of the most sought-after in Croatia, was founded in 2011 by renowned composer Pero Kozomara. Their music is recognizable for its blend of traditional klapa performance and entertainment music in the Dalmatian style.
The audience can expect an evening filled with emotion and communal singing of hits like "Šta mi ljube oćeš kazat," "Mislin samo na te," and "Prsti zapleteni," which have won over numerous listeners across the country.
The day after Rišpet, on Saturday August 15, 2026, at 9 PM, Trsat Castle transforms into a dance floor. The Milde Sorte Party is dedicated to fans of disco music from the seventies and eighties, and DJ Zdrave will provide the nostalgic musical atmosphere, serving up the greatest hits of that era.
This party takes place on the feast of the Assumption, and due to the expected influx of visitors, special traffic regulations will be in place for the route to Trsat. The Summer at Gradina program thus once again confirms its role as a meeting point for different generations and lovers of quality music in a unique historical setting.
