Lovas Donates €3,000 for Stadium in Vukovar

The Municipality of Lovas has made a donation of €3,000 for the construction of the Stadium of the 12 Croatian Policemen in Vukovar. The decision was made at the 11th regular session of the Municipal Council, thereby joining the donation campaign "I am Vukovar too".

More Than Financial Support

From the Municipality of Lovas, they emphasize that the donation is not merely a financial contribution to an infrastructure project.

"This donation is not just financial support for the stadium's construction. It is an expression of respect for Croatian veterans, for the twelve Croatian policemen whose name the stadium will proudly bear, and a message that the values on which the Croatian state was founded are still alive today,"

In the press release, it is highlighted that building facilities that preserve collective memory is also an investment in preserving historical truth and passing on the values of the Homeland War to future generations.

Gratitude Ahead of Important Dates

The payment was made ahead of the celebration of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and the Day of Croatian Veterans. On that occasion, the Municipality of Lovas expressed lasting gratitude to all those who, with their lives, health, and sacrifice, contributed to the creation and defense of the Republic of Croatia.

"May this donation be a modest contribution from the Municipality of Lovas to the lasting preservation of the memory of Croatian veterans and the values of the Homeland War,"

By participating in the "I am Vukovar too" campaign, the Municipality of Lovas has shown solidarity with the City of Vukovar and given its contribution to a project that will permanently preserve the memory of the courage and sacrifice of the twelve Croatian policemen.
