The winner of The Voice Kids Croatia and the Junior Eurovision is spending his summer working, and in an interview with 24sata he revealed his musical wishes, summer adventures, and plans for autumn.
Ten-year-old Marino Vrgoč, who won the hearts of the audience by winning the first season of The Voice Kids Croatia and then performing at the Junior Eurovision in Georgia last December, is not resting this summer either. Although he takes every opportunity to relax, his schedule is packed with performances across Croatia.
In an interview with 24sata, the young singer revealed how he balances his commitments with summer joys. "This summer I'm using for swimming and relaxing, but I also have performances often. Sometimes I go to my sister's in Čapljina, she got married there, and I also go to Zaostrog where I have a boat, I often sail out on it, I even fish and catch squid. Once I caught a really big squid, I barely managed to pull it out, it was huge," Marino said.
His summer has been marked by numerous musical events. "As for singing, the performance in Knin the day before the anniversary of Operation Storm was special, it was really good. And on the very day of Operation Storm I sang in Gradac, where I also enjoyed myself," he recalled. In addition, he performed at the Od 2 do 2 festival in Ploče, at Glas Ploča, in Opuzen at Zvjezdice, and at Glas Neretve in Metković. "I have a few more performances until the end of summer, and I'll also be at the Vinkovci Autumns, I'm really looking forward to that," he added.
Spiritual concerts also hold a special place in his heart. "I also sang at the concerts Progledaj srcem and Krist na žalu, that's always special to me, the Holy Spirit awakens in me, I simply love God and faith," Marino emphasized.
While they were talking, a line of girls formed around him, wanting to take photos with him. "I'm used to being famous, to people wanting to take photos with me, it's not hard for me. I like all of it, now girls often ask me for a picture too. But I've had my girlfriend for a long time, my Josipa, and I'm faithful to her, just as she is to me. She doesn't mind when I take photos with other girls, she knows it's part of fame and that I have to do it," he explained very seriously.
Although he is not currently preparing new songs, this summer he achieved a nice collaboration. "I sang a duet with Mara Murtezani from Opuzen, who was in the second season of The Voice Kids Croatia, at Glas Ploča, so we'll probably release it on YouTube," he revealed. His musical wishes go even further: "I'd love to record a duet with some people in the future. For example, I'd like to with Jakov Jozinović, I sang with him in the Arena. I also met Petar Dragojević and I'd love to sing with him too."
Marino also recalled the great success from December 2025, when after 11 years Croatia again had its representative at the Junior Eurovision. "After returning from Georgia from the Junior Eurovision, I stayed in touch with some colleagues from other countries, we have each other on social media. And I'll always remember the get-togethers and that I learned a little Spanish," he said.
Besides music, Marino is also focused on school. "Fourth grade went great. I had quite a few A's, so at the end I passed with straight A's. In autumn I'm starting fifth grade, everything changes. I won't have my dear teacher anymore, but teachers will come, and I'll have a homeroom teacher. I'll also meet some new friends, because for fifth grade several former classes are mixed, and some of my friends might not be with me in the classroom anymore," he explained. He is most looking forward to one of the new subjects: "Mostly history, I'm really interested in that," concluded the talented Marino.
