At the Plazma Youth Sports Games, held on Wednesday, August 6, 2026, the young volleyball players of the Women's Volleyball Club Osijek won the silver medal. In the younger girls' competition, for those born in 2011 or later, the tournament went successfully despite strong competition, and in the final match, the only team that surpassed them was from Zagreb.
This result once again confirms the club's ongoing work with the youngest age groups and the visible progress in the development of young athletes. Throughout the tournament, the girls showed exceptional character, teamwork, and a level of quality that points to a promising future. This success continues a series of excellent achievements for the club, including winning the national championship for cadettes, success at the international Tournament of 4 Cities, and call-ups for players to the national team.
Under the leadership of coach Renata Korenički, the younger teams continue to rack up successes. The club emphasizes that their main priority remains working with children and young people, which serves as the foundation for long-term results. At the same time, the club is seeking partners and sponsors to support further progress and elevate their work to a higher level.
For ŽOK Osijek, the following players competed at the tournament: Nika Lesko, Ana Čurić, Iva Korenički, Dora Jurić, Ana Žaja, Iva Kerovec, Petra Kerovec, Lara Selak, Lana Đurić, Erika Dragišić, Nia Kolarić Tokić, and Anđela Krivić.
At the same tournament, other Osijek clubs also achieved notable results. ŽOK Ferivi Višnjevac and MOK Mursa Osijek took first place in their respective age groups, further highlighting the strength of the volleyball scene in Osijek and its surroundings.
