Governor of Moscow Oblast Andrei Vorobyov confirmed the tragic figures. "According to preliminary information, five people were killed, while six others were injured. All the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance," Vorobyov said via social media, as reported by the Russian agency TASS.
In the Chekhov urban district, in the Novoselok industrial zone, several fires broke out following a drone strike. The largest affected a warehouse, but the open flames were extinguished. An electrical substation and an administrative building were also damaged. In the village of Solnshkovo, drone debris damaged a private house and a car, but the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries. Drones were also recorded in the Volokolamsk, Klin, and Serebryano-Prudsky districts.
Meanwhile, the Leningrad Oblast was targeted by 17 drones, which were destroyed by air defense, according to regional governor Alexander Drozdenko. One person was injured. In the settlement of Krasny Bor in the Tosnensky district, a strike was recorded in a warehouse area, where a fire broke out. Wildberries confirmed that its logistics facility is burning. Neighboring Finland, a member of the European Union and NATO, established a temporary air traffic restriction zone as a precautionary measure.
The conflict has also brought casualties on the Ukrainian side. Governor of the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast, Oleh Hryhorov, reported that the Russian military attacked civilian infrastructure in the city of Sumy with guided bombs. According to his information, one person was killed, and several others were injured. The city of Sumy is located near the border with Russia's Kursk Oblast.
These latest attacks continue the pattern of mutual targeting of infrastructure and causing civilian casualties on both sides, further exacerbating the already tense security situation in Europe.
