Croatian international and Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sučić has become a father. His wife Matea gave birth to a son in Milan on August 6, 2026, and the happy event prompted Sučić to urgently leave the club's preparations on the other side of the world to be with his family, as reported by Hype TV.
Sučić was with Inter on their pre-season tour in Perth, Australia, where the team was preparing for the new season. The Croatian international joined his teammates a bit later due to rest after international duties and mostly did individual running drills. He did not play in the match against Milan because he learned shortly before kickoff that his wife had been hospitalized. As soon as he found out labor had begun, he boarded the first available flight to Milan without hesitation.
Petar Sučić and Matea Rak married in mid-January 2026 in an intimate ceremony at a villa on the shores of Lake Como. The couple met in Zagreb while Sučić was wearing the Dinamo jersey and Matea, originally from Šibenik, was studying. Despite generally keeping their private life out of the public eye, the news of the pregnancy was announced during the World Cup, after he scored a goal against Ghana.
With the birth of his son, Sučić has entered a new chapter in his life. He will celebrate his 23rd birthday in October, and this summer will undoubtedly remain one of the most special in his life.
