On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Pitomača was the epicenter of top-tier gastronomy and music. The nineteenth edition of the traditional Pečenjak Days event drew a large crowd who spent the day savoring the aromas of roasted and boiled pork, with the evening's highlight being a performance by the legendary band Prljavo Kazalište.
From the early hours, King Tomislav Square was filled with stalls offering a rich gastronomic selection. Visitors could choose from various pork preparations, while a wide array of drinks provided refreshment against the summer heat. At exactly 9 PM, Prljavo Kazalište took the stage, and the central square nearly erupted with energy. From the first notes, the audience sang along to timeless hits like "Marina," "Heroj ulice," "Mojoj majci," and "Kiše jesenjih." Throughout the evening, the band alternated songs that have defined generations, including "Sve je lako kad si mlad" and "Mi plešemo."

"Numerous visitors, after enjoying the pork, filled the central square and are now singing along to hits by one of Croatia's most popular rock bands," Podravski list reported from the scene.
This year's Pečenjak Days once again confirmed its status as an event that combines tradition, socializing, and top-notch entertainment. Prljavo Kazalište concluded the event in the best possible way, leaving the audience with memories that will be talked about until the next edition.
