The spotlight fell on a potential collaboration between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus regarding Japanese international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, while Bayer Leverkusen simultaneously activated plans to bring back their former player.
Juventus is determined to make Zion Suzuki their first-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming season. However, the Turin club's coach, Luciano Spalletti, has warned that completing this deal would be financially very demanding. According to Corriere dello Sport and L'Equipe, a solution could come from Paris.
Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly considering buying Suzuki from Parma for around €30 million, and then immediately sending him on a one-year loan to Juventus. However, there's a catch: PSG already has first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, so such an investment would be hard to justify unless they manage to sell him first. Suzuki's excellent performances at the 2026 World Cup have further boosted his price and reputation.
Bayer Leverkusen is seriously working on bringing back Moussa Diaby, the 27-year-old French international and right winger who currently plays for Saudi club Al-Ittihad. According to German outlet Kicker, Bayer is in intensive negotiations for his return, but Inter and Benfica are also interested.
Diaby moved from Leverkusen to Aston Villa in 2023 for €55 million, only to leave the Premier League a year later for Al-Ittihad in a transfer worth €60 million. He has a contract with that club until 2029.
