Rijeka's footballers learned on Monday the name of their potential opponent in the Conference League qualifying playoffs. After getting past Finland's Ilves, they will face the better side from the tie between Ireland's Bohemian and Denmark's Midtjylland.
The winner of the Rijeka, Ilves tie will play the first playoff match away on August 20, 2026, with the return leg scheduled for August 27, 2026. Exact kickoff times will be announced later.
The Croatian Football Federation also announced on its Twitter profile the potential opponents for Hajduk Split. If the Whites get past Žalgiris from Vilnius, they will face the winner of the tie between Poland's Rakow and Sweden's Hammarby in the battle for the Conference League.
Both Croatian clubs are thus in contention for a spot in the Conference League group stage, with key European tests awaiting them in the second half of August.
