Croatian music star Severina has once again confirmed her status as a regional icon. Her latest single, titled 'Nisam kriva ja' (also known as 'Bezosjećajna'), surpassed one million views on YouTube within just 24 hours of its release, reports Tportal.
In addition to the impressive view count, the song quickly climbed the YouTube trending charts in several countries. According to Tportal, the single entered trending in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Austria, showcasing the power of Severina's musical reach.
'The Key Is Authenticity, Not Numbers'
Following the massive success, the singer took to social media to thank her audience and reveal what matters most to her in her career. "'Bezosjećajna' I am not; I am calm and happy. This is one of those songs tailored for me, lived through... thank you to everyone who loves it and finds themselves in it; it's their song now," Severina said via social media, as reported by Tportal.
In her heartfelt post, she also reflected on what she considers the true foundations of a long-lasting career. "They tell me we entered the 'trending' lists of all the countries in the region yesterday... I've sung so many songs that I chose, but I never chased that 'trending' frenzy; it always came because of my song choices... But that's not the key to success; the key is always in great concerts, in authenticity, in the consistency of my path. The key is a good song, the interpretation I want for a particular song, and visually, it should be art, a short film," she wrote.
Two More Songs Announced: 'Old Severina' Returns
While fans continue to adore the new single, Severina surprised them with the announcement of new material. She revealed that two more songs are coming soon, which, according to her, will remind listeners of her earlier musical style. "And two more songs are coming; I don't know how to describe them... Maybe as you'd say-'old Severina'... But I'm getting younger and younger (laughs)," the singer said.
She added that she is confident the audience will have a great time with the new tracks. "What makes me happiest is when people find themselves in my lyrics that 'hurt'; I enjoy hearing them sing the songs from start to finish, watching them dance, and most of all, seeing them laugh and have a great time. And with the two new songs (that are coming), they'll definitely have a blast," Severina concluded in her social media post, with photos credited to Matea Smolčić Senčar.
