The last weekend of August is once again reserved for one of Croatia's longest-running beer festivals. From August 28 to September 1, 2026, Karlovac will host the 39th edition of the Beer Days, a festival that has been attracting tens of thousands of visitors from across the country and abroad for nearly four decades.
The five-day program will take place in the heart of the city, in the historic Zvijezda district, where visitors will be welcomed by two festival stages. The event is organized by the City of Karlovac, with Karlovačko Beer as the main sponsor, whose tradition in this region spans over 170 years.
The festival's grand opening is scheduled for the first day, August 28, 2026, with Severina as the evening's main headliner. Simultaneously, Minea will entertain the crowd on the gastro stage, kicking off five days filled with music and entertainment.
Throughout the festival, the main stage will also feature numerous other well-known names from the Croatian music scene, including Petar Graša, Hiljson, Baksa, Grupa Jonathan, Indira, and Klapa Šufit.
Beer enthusiasts will once again have the chance to explore the World of Beer, a special festival zone dedicated to beer culture. There, they will find a rich selection of domestic and international beer brands, along with the opportunity to discover various styles and new flavors, including some that are exclusively available at this festival on the Croatian market.
The gastronomic offerings will stretch along the Karlovac promenade and in a dedicated Gastro Corner, where visitors can sample everything from modern street food interpretations to traditional specialties. For a refreshing break during the hot days, visitors can also head to Foginovo kupalište (Fogin's Bathing Area).
The organizers have once again ensured accessibility for all guests. Half a liter of draft Karlovačko beer will be sold at €2.50 throughout the festival. To ensure a safe journey to and from the event, free transportation and a special festival train on the Zagreb-Karlovac-Zagreb route will be organized.
The Beer Days also provide an ideal opportunity to explore Karlovac. Between concerts and festival events, visitors can tour the Old Town Dubovac, the Nikola Tesla Experience Center, the freshwater aquarium Aquatika, or the Homeland War Museum in Turnj. For those who enjoy walking, the historic Radićeva Street offers a glimpse into the rich past of a city that rightly bears the title of the City of Encounters.
