Sibenik Police Arrest Foreigners with Large Quantity of Drugs

Police officers from the Criminal Police Service, Drug Crime Unit of the Sibenik-Knin Police Department, in cooperation with colleagues from the Police Directorate, conducted a coordinated criminal investigation into two foreign nationals. They are charged with the unauthorized production and trafficking of drugs, and the operations resulted in the seizure of a diverse array of narcotics.
The first intervention occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in the afternoon hours in the town of Jezera. While carrying out measures to prevent and combat drug abuse, officers spotted a man behaving suspiciously. He is a 40-year-old citizen of North Macedonia.
A search of the suspect led to the discovery and seizure of a range of narcotics. Authorities confiscated 40 MDMA tablets and four PVC bags containing powder of the same drug, with a total gross weight of 3.2 grams. Additionally, three PVC bags of ketamine (2.4 grams) and 23 PVC bags of cocaine, with a gross weight of 18.4 grams, were seized. A significant amount of cash suspected to be proceeds from drug sales was also found on him.
The following day, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in the evening hours, another suspicious individual was spotted in the Pirovac area. Police officers from the Police Directorate and the Drug Crime Unit of the Sibenik-Knin Police Department arrested a 32-year-old citizen of the United Kingdom.
The list of drugs seized from him was even more impressive. Officers found five PVC bags of marijuana with a total gross weight of 15.88 grams, as well as two bags containing 77 MDMA tablets. In addition, they confiscated 27 PVC bags of MDMA powder (26.09 grams), 13 bags of ketamine (11.7 grams), and one bag containing four doses of LSD.
Particularly notable was the seizure of hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms. They were packaged in three original wrappers with a total weight of 258 grams, plus an additional nine PVC bags with a gross weight of 24.57 grams. A significant amount of cash was also found on this suspect.
Both suspects were arrested and taken to police premises for criminal investigation. Upon completion of the processing, they will be handed over to the custodial supervisor of the Sibenik-Knin Police Department within the legal timeframe. Criminal charges against them will be submitted to the competent Municipal State Attorney's Office in Sibenik for further action.
