Croatian veterans can expect an increase in their pension benefits starting in autumn 2026. The news was announced on Tuesday, August 5, 2026, by the Prime Minister from Knin, who announced legislative changes that will introduce a new pension supplement.
The key novelty is that the supplement amount will not be uniform for everyone. The amount will be calculated based on the length of participation in the defense of the sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia, meaning that those with more days spent in the war will receive a higher amount.
