Residents of Vodena Draga described the moment of the explosion as terrifying. "Like an earthquake!" neighbors told 24sata, while others said that "everything shook as if in an earthquake."

Emergency medical teams arrived at the scene very quickly. The most seriously injured was the 20-year-old, who is suspected of having activated the device. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted by helicopter to Dubrava University Hospital in Zagreb.
